About - Amy E. VanMeter, PBC
Amy VanMeter Events is a full-service wedding planning and coordination firm serving clients in the Northern Shenandoah Valley & portions of Northern Virginia. So, what makes me different?
My business is my passion, born from a love of planning. Always the methodical "list maker," I felt drawn to use my talents to help brides & grooms celebrate the beginning of their lives together. This is my full-time job, not a part-time hobby -- and I love it!
My commitment is to provide you unparalleled personal service. Your wedding will not be one of many events that I'm working on. I restrict my bookings to two events per month, so that I can provide the high level of service that you deserve. It is a privilege to share in a couple's wedding. And, it gives me great pleasure to know that I contributed to the joy and success of the day.
My goal is an unforgettable and stress-free event every time. How do I do that? With expertise (11 years of it), resources, natural organizational abilities, a professional demeanor and attention to detail. These attributes mean peace of mind and wonderful memories for you.
Professionalism is the foundation of my business and that means a dedication to high ethical standards & continuing education. As every professional should be, I'm licensed and insured. I never accept referrals fees or incentives. My clients are given vendor referrals based on their unique style and budget needs. I'm committed to knowing what products & services are available for my clients. So, I regularly attend industry educational and networking meetings. I'm online many hours every week -- reading articles, blogs & discussions so that I can provide my clients with fresh information. I've earned the Professional Bridal Consultant designation from the Association of Bridal Consultants, an international professional organization. I currently serve as a board member and advertising chair for the Shenandoah Wedding Professionals, a regional networking group. And, I am also a member of the Top of Virginia Regional Chamber of Commerce.
On a personal note, I'm a Georgia peach who relocated to beautiful Winchester, Virginia with my family. I have a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication from the University of West Georgia and in my "previous life" I worked in marketing & public relations. Aside from planning, I enjoy reading, writing & traveling.
